In order to successfully work in the Examus proctoring system, you need to have the following:

  • A desktop computer or a laptop (mobile devices are not supported);
  • Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 or Mac OS 10.10 or higher Operating System;
  • The latest version of the Google Chrome browser at the moment of the exam (to install the browser, use https://www.google.com/chrome/; to check and update the browser version, use chrome://help/);
  • You also need a front-facing webcam (including built-in webcams of laptops);
  • Make sure that the microphone is working and turned on (including built-in models for laptops);
  • The Examus extension installed in the Google Chrome browser;
  • A stable Internet connection with a data transfer rate from the user of at least 1 Mbit/sec (you can test the connection speed at https://www.speedtest.net);

 

In order to participate in the examination, the computer must comply with all the requirements mentioned above. In addition, one needs to pass the preliminary test to check all these features. The preliminary test becomes available after installing the Examus extension. You must install the extension and log in using your credentials.
