System check fails with "There is no sound in your mic" (Windows)

Modified on Wed, 11 May 2022 at 02:43 PM

During the system check, Examus listens to your mic. If you see a "There is no sound in your mic" message, try to speak into the mic clearly and loudly during the entire system check process.

If that doesn't help, check your mic volume in the system settings:

  1. Press Win+R.
  2. Enter mmsys.cpl in the opened window and press Enter.
  3. Go to the Recording tab and double-click the active mic.
  4. Go to the Levels tab.
  5. Check your mic level. If the volume indicator is red, click on it to unmute your mic:

  6. Accept the changes by pressing Apply > OK.
