To successfully complete a proctored exam on macOS, you will need to change your operating system's security settings.
To allow Examus access :
If you are using the local Examus app :
Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy
Check the boxes next to the items:
Camera - Examus
Microphone - Examus
Accessibility - Examus
Save the settings.
If you are using a regular browser:
On some versions, you also need to set a screen time limit for the webcam:
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences > Screen Time > Content & Privacy > Apps.
Make sure the camera box is checked;
Select "App Limits." To use the camera with an app from the list, make sure the "Limits" box is unchecked.
Save your settings and restart your browser.
You should also check the settings for access control for screen recording and system audio recording:
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Privacy & Security in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
Click on “Record screen and system sound” on the right.
Enable recording for the EXAMUS app (or the browser you're using to take the test) . You must allow access to screen and audio recording .
To add an app to the list, click the Add (+) button below the list, then navigate to the app you want to add.
ATTENTION ! In some cases, removing the EXAMUS app from this list and adding it again may help (you must double-check that write permissions are enabled).
To find out more about the screen recording controls in your version of MacOS , you can refer to the instructions on Apple's official website ( https://support.apple.com/ru-ru/guide/mac-help/mch... ). Select your OS version at the top of the page.
If these settings are unavailable for change, you need to disable security. Click the lock icon to unlock this section of the settings. You will be prompted to enter your administrator username and password.
